What Scoutbasketball is
Scoutbasketball is a basketball scouting platform that aggregates player profiles, game results, team rosters, competition standings and statistical analysis across multiple leagues and seasons. The database covers 250,000+ players, 350+ competitions and 50+ countries across 20+ seasons of history, and it grows continuously as new games are played and finalized by the source leagues.
Every page is rendered on the server and marked up with schema.org structured data, so the information is consistent for people, search engines and AI agents alike. The ranking tool turns the same data into leaderboards per competition and stat — from points, rebounds and assists to efficiency, PER and true shooting — filterable by passport and age category.
Who uses it
- Scouts cover competitions they cannot visit in person and compare players across leagues on the same stats.
- Agents track their clients' production, find comparable players and prepare evidence for contract conversations.
- Clubs and federations screen transfer targets, check passports and eligibility constraints, and follow opponent rosters.
- Analysts and journalists pull box scores, standings and historical performance for research and coverage.
Players can also claim a Pro Profile to present self-reported content — such as a written pitch or measurements — alongside Scoutbasketball's independently verified data, always visually separated from it.
How the database is built
Results, rosters and player biographies are collected from official league sources and publications that organize each competition, then consolidated into one normalized database where every player, team, season and game has a single canonical URL. When a source league finalizes and publishes a game, the box score flows into player profiles, standings and leaderboards without manual entry.
